Atomic RP: Premise
They burned the night, and you'll greet the day.
You wake up one day, wet and cold. Your body is shivering at rapid speed and if you move your left arm too fast, you find that a sharp pain follows. You're laying down in an unknown room on the thin mattress of an uncomfortable cot. If you're capable of smell, a sterile scent meets your nostrils. If you're capable of sight, medical equipment surrounds you. As for hearing, a beeping is in the background, trilling along with the beats of your heart, keeping steady track of and betraying the reactions you might wish to otherwise hide.
Follow the sharp pain in your arm and you find a tubing that leads to a machine. No matter how hard you try, you cannot pull the tubing out of your arm, or disconnect it from the machine. You're stuck in this bed, with these machines, with this tubing, you're not getting out. You have no possessions on you, you wear nothing but a flimsy gown. What are you to do?
Sleep, it seems, for suddenly a pump on the machine activates and soon enough you feel sleepy. Whether you take this with good grace or fight it, you soon enough feel too sleepy to stay awake, and are overtaken with darkness again...
...and wake up several hours later, dressed and in another bed, a bunk in an almost cavernous room full of the same. You are accompanied by others. Some are as confused and new as you. Others are used to this. Choose to explore or choose to stick to yourself - either way, you can't prevent your future fate.
We are many types of game. We are a survival game, an exploration game, a horror game and we even have some mystery. Here's the deal: one day, Earth was infected by a virus. This virus moved in so quickly that it couldn't be stopped and the only way the Powers That Be of the governments could see to eradicate it was to blow up parallel matter power plants around the world. Basically, our world decided to give the virus a trial by fire.
Radiation filled the planet and most of mankind died. What was left moled away underneath the ground in various shelters and waited out the radiation. Now, finally, their time has come: the radiation is starting to clear and it seems that the surface is becoming habitable! However, the scientists that have discovered this don't want to sacrifice the already dwindled numbers of humanity. Using not so recently discovered technology, they transported in people from other universes. These people will be used and abused for the sake of rebuilding the surface. They're not really supposed to live, they're canon fodder. They can be replaced.
Being one of these canon fodder, you must try to survive the irradiated surface and various mutations that populate it. You're expected to work together with your team and explore for resources and build shelters. Above all, you're going to figure out that not everything is what it seems, and maybe those you trust aren't those you should.
